Tatiana Avendaño
Translated from Spanish by Jocelyn Montalban
Transhackfeminist philosopher, raver, and telepathy apprentice. The desire to think from the body led her to the field of Live Arts, where creation and thought are both tactics of resistance and a territory where ethics, aesthetics, and politics are questioned. She believes in the political and creative use of technology and in the supernatural power of women, in alliance with other beings, to transform everything and make the worlds we wish to live in a reality.

artist's statement
Colonial violence has erased my family tree; although my grandmother insisted on denying any Indigenous roots in our family, over time I have discovered that my grandfather carried a great deal of Muisca wisdom. From him, I learned to meditate and to intuitively seek my connection with life. I am part of the collective that makes the Bogotrax Festival (free and open to all) possible. It is an artistic and social experimentation lab that, through music and electronic culture, has woven strong ties with this territory ancestrally known as Bacatá, where we are interested in exploring the relationship between “Territory-and-Technologies.”
